Roh Tae-moon Says Samsung to Expand Gemini Powered AI Devices to 800 Million by 2026

Samsung Rapidly Boosting Its AI Enhancements in All Devices

Samsung Electronics has unveiled an ambitious vision to increase its presence in artificial intelligence with a goal of having its Gemini-based AI capabilities on 800 million devices by the year 2026. This vision was unveiled by Samsung Electronics co-CEO Roh Tae-moon. Samsung has expressed its vision to have artificial intelligence become an integral part of its every product, service, and user experience.

At present, Samsung has 400 million devices with Galaxy AI features. By doubling this number, the company is aiming to promote the use of AI-powered tools in smartphones, tablets, as well as other AI devices. Such a move is indicative of the fact that Samsung is aiming to embed more features from the world of generative AI.

These AI capabilities powered through Google’s Gemini platform include intelligent search functionality, photo and video editing, real-time language translation, content summarizations, and productivity assistance. As Samsung’s leadership states, “Consumers’ awareness and usage of Galaxy AI have increased dramatically, which shows high demand for AI mobile experiences.”

Samsung is not just fixated on high-end smartphones. They have their sights set on providing Artificial Intelligence features to more devices than just their high-end offerings. They want to make innovations affordable and accessible to everyone across various markets. They think this will help build consumer loyalty while boosting their global market presence.

Enhancing the Position of Market Leadership in a Scenario of Rising

Thus, Samsung’s push towards the rapid adoption of AI technology in its devices can be seen as a move aimed at countering the increased rivalry from other companies like Apple and other Chinese smartphone vendors.

The increase in the use of Gemini-based AI devices also enhances the collaboration between Samsung and Google, contributing to the acceleration of the adoption of Gemini as the premier generative AI solution globally. It will also enable the company to provide the market with innovative AI solutions that are flexible in its future plans.

However, the company remains under pressure from the ongoing constraints of global supply chains and the fluctuations in semiconductor pricing; these continue to bear upon decisions affecting production costs and inform pricing strategy for the years to come. Even so, Samsung shows no lack of confidence in the potential for AI-driven innovations as drivers of growth.

But Samsung is placing artificial intelligence across its ecosystem to position the company at the forefront of the next wave in consumer technology, where smart devices further anticipate needs, enhance productivity, and deliver more personalized digital experiences at scale.
